Chris Ashworth, Chief Technology Officer

Chris Ashworth is the Chief Technology Officer at Synergy ECP, where he leads the company’s technical strategy, solution portfolio, and innovation initiatives across the federal market. In addition to overseeing Synergy ECP’s Virginia operations, he is focused on driving strategic growth, advancing mission-focused technologies, and delivering solutions that improve both customer outcomes and organizational efficiency. Chris is particularly passionate about developing innovative concepts and prototypes that support the warfighter while fostering a culture of professional growth and technical excellence across the organization.

Prior to joining Synergy ECP, Chris served as Chief Technology Officer at NetServices Inc. for more than nine years, leading technology innovation and customer delivery efforts within the government contracting sector. Earlier in his career, he gained commercial technology experience at VMware, building a foundation that blends enterprise innovation with deep expertise supporting the Intelligence Community and federal customers. His leadership philosophy centers on empowering people, building high-performing teams, and creating an environment where employees leave more capable, confident, and successful than when they arrived.

Chris earned a B.S. Mathematics and B.S. Computer Science from James Madison University. He later earned a M.S. Computer Science from George Washington University. Additionally, Chris holds a variety of certifications covering Program Management, ServiceNow, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, and MBSE.
