Michael Kelleher, Chief Financial Officer

Michael Kelleher is the Chief Financial Officer at Synergy ECP, where he leads the company’s financial strategy, operational planning, compliance, forecasting, and reporting functions across the organization. He also oversees mergers and acquisitions financial integration efforts, helping position the company for continued growth across the defense and intelligence markets. With a focus on building scalable financial infrastructure, Michael is committed to ensuring Synergy ECP maintains the discipline, transparency, and operational rigor required to support mission-critical government customers while capitalizing on emerging opportunities in cyber, enterprise IT, and AI-enabled solutions.

Michael began his career as a software engineer designing, developing and implementing financial, human resource and telecommunications software in Europe and the United States.  Upon receiving his MBA, Michael changed his career path by becoming more involved in business operations and finance.

In 2011 Michael and his family decided to set roots in Washington, DC and transitioned from the private sector to GovCon by joining a mid-size federal contractor.  During Michael’s time at the company he managed various aspects of the business during critical times in the acquisition and maturation process.  These roles included chief operations officer, vice-president of infrastructure integration for acquired companies and vice-president of corporate finance and pricing.

Michael graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and also possess a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance. He has continued his professional development with certifications from the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and an Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP). Michael is also a two-time Ironman 140.6 and nine-time Ironman 70.3 triathlete.
